Crescent Hotels & Resorts is Hiring an Engineer Near Owings Mills, MD

Role Overview: As an Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the physical integrity of our property and ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests and staff. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and responding promptly to maintenance requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems as needed.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing functionality of equipment and systems.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with renovations and upgrades to improve the quality and appearance of our facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory.
  • Uphold safety standards and protocols to create a secure environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.

Safety & Security: 

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
